★ Built at our kitchen table

Turn the week into a quest.

Homegrown is the home-education app we made for our own kids. A calm planning HQ for the grown-ups, and a world of quests, streaks and hard-earned stars for the people actually doing the learning.

Used in our house every school day. Not a mockup — the real thing.

Why we made it

It started because nothing fitted.

We were running our homeschool across three different tools, a spreadsheet, and a pile of notes only one of us could actually edit. Changing next week's lessons meant editing a file. That's fine if you happen to be a developer. It's useless for everybody else.

So we built the thing we actually wanted. Everything is editable inside the app — the timetable, the reward shelf, the free-time lists, the lot. Nothing hidden in code, nothing that needs a technical parent on standby.

And the half our kids see had to be worth opening. Not a chore list with a coat of paint — a world with quests, streaks and stars they'd chase on a wet Tuesday morning.

Less admin · more momentum

One home for the whole learning journey.

01 ▦

A parent's calm HQ

Shape the week in minutes — repeating lessons, one-off adventures, links and resources. Each morning opens on one page that shows only what needs you: a reward to hand over, a new book to see, a day with nothing planned. No files, no developer required.

02 ⚔

A world kids want to open

Lessons become main quests, chores become side quests. Each child works on their own tablet or laptop and always knows what's next — and every finish pays out stars instantly, no waiting on a parent to approve it.

03 ✦

A record worth keeping

Tap any finished lesson to see their notes and links, and add your own photos of the work. Together with the reading log, it builds into the real story of the school year, told by the work itself.

For the "show me" moments

When someone asks what you did — show them.

Home education in England is heading for registration. Homegrown keeps your record as you go. Pick a date range and export a plain, printable document: your approach in your own words, a typical week, the subjects covered and the resources used, then the work itself, week by week, with your own notes on how each week went. Facts on paper, whenever you need them.

Getting started

Your first week, planned in a minute.

Add your children, then start from a sample week — Maths, Reading, Writing, Science, a making project and a daily tidy-up, with a reward shelf already priced to match. Change whatever doesn't fit your family. A short checklist walks you through the rest, from stocking the shelf to putting Homegrown on each child's device.

Homegrown never decides what your children learn. You stay the teacher. It just takes the blank-page work off your hands.

Every kid gets their own world

A science lesson shouldn't pay the same as emptying the dishwasher, so it doesn't. You stock the reward shelf yourself — movie nights, day trips, pocket money — and the kids spend their stars the moment they've earned them.

Starting with our family. Building for yours.

Homegrown runs our own homeschool every day — and we're getting it ready for other families. Leave your email and you'll be the first to know when it opens.
